Note: This is a carefully prepared template, matched to the services actually used on this website and drafted to German data-protection standards. It does not constitute legal advice. Please have it reviewed by a lawyer and adapted to your actual processing activities before going live.

2. General & your rights

We take the protection of your personal data seriously and treat it confidentially and in accordance with statutory provisions. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally.

Your rights as a data subject

You have the right at any time to:

Any consent you give can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected. An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient to exercise your rights.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The competent authority includes the Saxon Data Protection Commissioner (Devrientstraße 5, 01067 Dresden, Germany).

3. Hosting & server log files

When you access our website, your browser automatically sends information to our server and temporarily stores it in a log file. This includes: IP address, date and time of access, name and URL of the file retrieved, volume of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, and your operating system.

This processing serves to ensure a smooth connection, comfortable use, and evaluation of system security and stability. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Cookies & consent management

Our website uses cookies and comparable storage technologies. Cookies do not harm your device and contain no viruses.

Technically necessary storage

To operate the site and to store your cookie decision, we use your browser's local storage (e.g. the key autart-consent-v1). This storage is technically necessary; the legal basis is Section 25(2) TTDSG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Consent-based services

Services that are not technically necessary — in particular the Meta Pixel described in section 5 — are loaded only after your explicit consent via our cookie banner. Without your consent (“Accept”), no cookies are set for this purpose and no data is transferred to third parties. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. The legal basis is Section 25(1) TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

5. Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel)

This website uses — only with your consent — the “Meta Pixel” of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Meta”).

Pixel ID used: 1476763937085415

Purpose of processing

The Meta Pixel lets us understand the behaviour of visitors who reach our website after clicking a Meta advertisement (Facebook/Instagram). This allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of our ads for statistical and market-research purposes, optimise future advertising, and show you interest-based advertising (remarketing). For this purpose a connection to Meta's servers is established and cookies may be set.

Legal basis

The legal basis for this processing is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TTDSG. Consent is voluntary, can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings”, and is not a condition for using the website.

Data transfer to the USA

In the course of using the Meta Pixel, personal data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA. An adequacy decision by the EU Commission exists for the USA (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), under which Meta is certified. Nonetheless, it cannot be ruled out that US authorities may access the data. Where necessary, the transfer is additionally based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Where data is processed jointly with Meta, this is done on the basis of a joint-controllership agreement (Art. 26 GDPR).

Further information & objection

Details on how Meta handles your data can be found in Meta's privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can adjust your advertising preferences at facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. You control its use on this site at any time via “Cookie settings”.

6. Embedded video (Vimeo)

On our home page we embed a video via the Vimeo service (Vimeo Inc., 330 West 34th Street, New York, USA). When the video is played, a connection to Vimeo's servers is established, during which your IP address and information about the pages you visit may be transmitted. We use the “dnt=1” (Do Not Track) parameter to reduce tracking by Vimeo. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of our offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More information: vimeo.com/privacy.

7. Web fonts (Google Fonts)

This website partly uses web fonts from Google (Google Ireland Limited) for a consistent display of typefaces. When a page is accessed, your browser loads the required fonts from Google servers, during which your IP address may be transmitted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

8. Registration & payment (CopeCart)

Registration and payment processing for the program are handled by the external provider CopeCart GmbH. When you click “Join the program”, you are redirected to a CopeCart order page. The data you enter there (e.g. name, e-mail, payment details) is processed by CopeCart as seller/reseller under its own responsibility. CopeCart's privacy policy applies: copecart.com/datenschutz.

9. Contact by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, we process the data you provide in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation/performance of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

10. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser's address bar.
